Top Foods to Avoid #2: Original Peanut Butter

A friend once asked me, “As a dietitian, what will you just REFUSE to eat?” Last week I told you why I won’t use coffee creamers. I avoid this week’s offender, regular peanut butter, for similar reasons.

Growing up I used to love the taste of JIF® peanut butter and still find that most of my patients prefer this product. “Choosey moms choose JIF®,” right? Wrong! “Choosey moms” opt for a natural peanut butter with no trans fats and added sugars. Let’s compare original peanut butter with natural peanut butter:
